Meet the Doctors!

Dr. Geoff Walburn

Growing up on a small farm in Milton, Indiana, Dr. Geoff Walburn was raised to believe that health is the natural design of mankind and that sickness is merely a symptom and a result of a loss of health. After graduating from Hanover College, he learned that Chiropractic is built on this same basic premise that people were designed to be healthy and that disease only results when the body and its systems are not functioning properly. This common philosophy caused him to enroll at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri.

Upon graduation in 1996, Dr. Walburn worked as a Chiropractor in the St. Louis and Indianapolis areas for about four years to gain experience. This experience in the bigger cities caused him to seek out a smaller community to open his own office with the hope that his efforts could leave a visible and positive impact on a community level. He has practiced in downtown Madison since 2001. These years of experience and various other studies have strengthened his prior belief that health comes from the inside and that health is usually lost as a result of the choices we make in our daily lives. This belief is the essence of Wellness and it has caused Dr. Walburn to focus more on trying to coach people to make better choices and include Chiropractic as a part of a lifestyle of Wellness.

At the end of his freshmen year at Hanover College Dr. Schuler and Dr. Walburn, roommates at the time, decided to take a trip to Louisville, KY (to drop off a bike and stereo cabinet). Along the way their car broke down. Dr. Schuler decided to hop on the bike and get help (before cell phones). He was traveling down the road when a metropolitan bus hit him from the side. He immediately could not feel his legs and suffered severe back pain. He was unable to move due to pain and collected fluid on the sides of his legs. He tried several medications and therapies before being suggested surgery. His mother suggested he go to his uncle, a chiropractor. He went and after several adjustments was out of severe pain and able to move again. The experience was so great that he decided to become a chiropractor himself.

Dr. Schuler graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1994. He started his practice in Louiville, KY in 1995 and recently started working on Tue./Thurs./Sat. in Madison. Dr. Schuler knows that when the spine comes out of alignment it causes tissue damage, and then symptoms. He knows that correcting these misalignments restores balance to the body and allows the body to heal itself.

As office manager, I wear many different hats, but my primary responsibility is insurance billing and payments.  I am more of a "behind the scenes" person in the office.  I am however, very interested in health and wellness.  I am passionate about continually educating myself and others.  My belief is that everyone needs to take personal responsibility for their own health and learn everything they can so that they can make the best choices for themselves and their children.
